Description
This is the larger, 35cm version of the EasyRead Time Teacher Wall Clock, suitable for classrooms or home. Like the smaller versions it is completely silent – no ticking! You can also check out all of our other Easyread Time Teacher products.
Take a look at the photos to see how easy it is to learn the time with the EasyRead Time Teacher system. The two sides of the clock dial are colour coded – green on the right and red on the left. Tell your child that the green side of the clock is called “Minutes Past”; and the red side is called “Minutes To”.
The three simple steps for a child telling the time are:
Step 1: Read the number at the end of the long hand
Step 2: Say which side of the clock the long hand is pointing to (Minutes Past, or Minutes To)
Step 3: Read the number at the end of the short hand
Like this: 8…minutes to…2
It’s that simple!
Excellent for school classroom or at home.
EasyRead Time Teacher was started by Roger Shackleton, based in Sydney and a winner of the Australian Design Award. He designed the EasyRead Dial and the Three Step Teaching System after finding it extremely difficult to teach his own children to tell the time using regular analogue clocks. Roger’s designs have been so successful that the clocks are now available in Europe and North America.

The clock as a whole it’s poor quality, cheap plastic, (even dial/face cover is plastic which had a few light scratches on it), made in China.
There is movement in the minute hand.
The only good part is the dial/face.
It’s clear, concise, easy to read and colorful.
The second hand is a continual 360 revolution not 60 clear individual movements.

Hi Lex. Thank you for taking the time to submit a review of the clock. There certainly shouldn’t be movement in the minute hand, or scratches on the face. Would you like us to seek a replacement from the manufacturer (who are based in Sydney) under their 12 month warranty? With regard to the second hand, yes, this is a completely silent clock and for this to be possible there must be smooth movement.
